Derek M. Boggs began his disability insurance career with The Paul Revere Insurance Company as a summer employee during his college years. A graduate of Washington and Lee University in Lexington, VA, with a B.S. in Business Administration, Derek moved to Atlanta in 1994 as a brokerage representative for Paul Revere, working with insurance professionals and financial planners in the Atlanta area.

Over his career, Derek has held disability sales and consulting positions with a Lloyd's of London underwriter, MetLife and most recently, The Standard, where he was responsible for the individual disability sales for the Southeastern United States and Texas.

Boggs Brokerage was founded as a result of the desire to provide a more thorough platform from which to help solve the unique disability needs arising from each individual's personal circumstances. Recognizing that no one company provides the proper fit for each situation, Boggs Brokerage contracts with the top carriers in a number of market segments in order to provide the appropriate coverage for each risk.

Derek and his wife Alexandra have three sons and live in Atlanta.
